In a significant move aimed at fostering improved governance and development in Cross River State, The SSA Political Affairs office of the Chief of Staff Comrade Dunamis Archibong, recently paid a familiarization visit to the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) in the state.
The SSA Political Affairs who thanked His Excellency Sen Prince Bassey Otu for the rare privilege to serve in his administration through his boss, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar the Chief of Staff to the Governor, lauded the DSS Director and officers of the department of state services for their quality services in the State, stressed that the meeting was a strategic effort to forge a closer partnership between his office and the DSS, highlighting a commitment to collaborative progress and enhanced security.
During the visit, Comr. Archibong and the DSS leadership discussed various strategies and initiatives designed to address current challenges and leverage opportunities for state development. The dialogue focused on creating synergies that would ensure a more effective approach to governance, public safety, ultimately contributing to a better political environment.
Comr. Archibong’s visit underscores his dedication to working alongside key governmental institutions to drive meaningful change. By engaging with the DSS, he aims to align efforts with national security goals while addressing key political affairs needs.
As a member of Inter-Agency Consultative Committee On Election Security (ICCES), a mechanism for managing electoral issues, violence, etc, this visit becomes imperative and is expected to strengthen the framework for synergy and collaboration for a level playing ground in the upcoming local government council election and beyond, including related developments, where necessary.
