PSOVAAP FOUNDATION PARTICIPATES IN THE CIVIL SOCIETY FORUM THEMED, “INTEGRATING MIGRANTS GRASSROOTS PERSPECTIVE TO GLOBAL STANDARDS”
Earlier this week, the Chairperson of PSOVAAP Foundation, Mrs Ogar Helen Ofie, attended the Civil Society Forum at Abuja, themed “Integrating Grassroot perspective in the global compact for safe orderly and regular migrating processes.
The forum organized by the Migration Commission under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, brought together Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and civil society from across the federation to deliberate on key strategies to address the challenges faced by migrants and vulnerable populations.
The Forum aimed at fostering sustainable reintegration programs for migrants to return to their communities and create impactful support systems for vulnerable people and groups.
Speaking at the forum, Mrs Ogar Helen Ofie, the Chairperson of PSOVAAP Foundation commended the Migration Commission for its commitment to promoting inclusive humanitarian policies. She also emphasized the importance of aligning grassroots efforts to global standards and ensuring that migrants are not only reintegrated but empowered to contribute meaningfully to society.
